TOPSHAM, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police and fire crews responded to a car crash and fire Friday around 11:30 a.m. on I-295 just prior to the Androscoggin River bridge.
Traffic was backed up for over an hour as crews worked to put out the fire in the southbound lane of I-295.
Police say those involved only suffered minor injuries and the road is now clear. Police continue to investigate the cause of the accident and fire.
