BUCKSPORT (NEWS CENTER Maine) – Classes at Bucksport High School are still in session after a potential threat Friday morning, according to RSU 25 superintendent James Boothby.
Boothby said information was brought to the attention of administrators in the early morning that they believed was a “potential safety concern.”
Bucksport Police Department investigated and determined there was no imminent threat.
School officials would not say where the information was found that prompted their concerns.
“As is our normal practice the exterior school doors remain locked during school hours and visitors must request entry and sign in at our offices,” Boothby said in the statement.
The schools in the district were not impacted.
