Bridgton police arrest six on various drug charges

Bridgton Police Department have arrested six individuals, stemming from an investigation into the distribution of heroin in the area.

BRIDGTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Bridgton Police Department have arrested six individuals, stemming from an investigation into the distribution of heroin in the area. 

Police say inside a home on Kansas Road in Bridgton, officers seized over 25 grams of heroin with scales, baggie's, hypodermic needles and cell phones, all consistent with a significant trafficking operation.  Also seized were pills, cash and marijuana. 

All six people were transported to the Cumberland County Jail.  Arrested were, 36-year-old Christina Rummell from Bridgton, 35-year-old John Allen from Bridgton, 31-year-old Ryan Benton of Cumberland, 27-year-old Colin Grant of Naples,29-year-old McKenna Roberts of Naples and 23-year-old Samantha Stoddard of Bridgton. 

Rummell and Allen were both charged with trafficking, and all others have been charged with possession of heroin as well as additional charges. 

This operation was the result of hard work and community commitment.
