BIDDEFORD, Maine — A family of seven escaped a house fire on Mason Street in Biddeford on Monday morning.
All made it out safely, Biddeford Fire Chief Larry Best told NEWS CENTER Maine. They are being assisted by the American Red Cross, Best said.
Both floors of the building were gutted, a NEWS CENTER Maine crew at the scene reported.
About 45 firefighters responded to the scene, and there were no injuries, according to officials.
Best said a fire investigator responded to the scene.
Some detours were in place Monday morning but there were no major traffic impacts in the area.
