BATH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police said they seized 17.5 lbs. of processed marijuana from a Bath residence.
Detective Marc Brunelle said he went to a home on Bumpy Hill Rd. to investigate a child custody complaint, while there, he could smell an overwhelming odor of marijuana.
The residents, Joseph Plummer and Alison Hartill ultimately showed him the drugs which was later determined to be 17.5 lbs of processed marijuana; some of it packaged and some in totes.
Plummer and Hartill were both issued summonses charging them with unlawful possession. They are scheduled to appear in West Bath District Court on November 22, 2016.The estimated street value of the marijuana is $70,000.
