BANGOR, Maine — Police are investigating after a person was found dead inside a parked car at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor on Saturday.
Bangor police responded around 11 a.m. after a witness reported they saw a person inside a parked car in the hospital's parking garage who appeared to be dead, according to a news release from the Bangor Police Department.
Officers confirmed the person was deceased, and Bangor detectives and evidence response team members were called to respond.
Police said an autopsy will be performed to determine the person's cause and manner of death. Details regarding the identity of the deceased individual were not immediately released.
There is no danger to the public, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
