BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --- Bangor police are looking into a reported stabbing that took place in the city Thursday night.
Responders say they were called out to 209 Warren Street shortly before 11 p.m. They say it appears at least two people got into a fight outside of an apartment building and one man was left stabbed in the abdomen.
He was taken to the hospital and his condition at this point is not known.
This all took place shortly after a concert let out at the city's waterfront. Police say they were able to talk with several people who were in the area at the time.
"We have a male suspect who fled the scene...we have male suspect right now who we're speaking with who we believe was part of this," said Bangor police lieutenant Paul Edwards, "and so right now there's no real danger to the community so to speak...but we are looking for anyone who may have information as to what they may have seen or heard here."
Investigators say the man who was stabbed was conscious when he left the scene.
