Street in downtown Bangor closes due to water main repair

The city said the road would reopen as soon as the work is complete.

BANGOR, Maine — The Bangor Water District has closed the entire length of Franklin Street, in downtown Bangor, to perform a water main repair. 

The city of Bangor made the announcement in a release Friday, saying the road would reopen as soon as the work is complete.

The city said drivers in the area should heed barricades and signage.
