BANGOR, Maine — Bangor police arrested three men and one woman on Saturday morning after they allegedly attempted to rob a resident at gunpoint.
According to a Monday news release from the Bangor Police Department, officers originally responded to a disorderly complaint on March Street early Saturday. Police said the original caller contacted police about excessive noise and possibly a fight from the residence where the alleged robbery was taking place.
When officers arrived at the scene they knocked on the door, only to have it opened and immediately closed on them, the release stated.
"Moments later, a male exited the residence with his hands in the air, telling the officers three people had entered his residence, brandishing handguns and identifying themselves as police," according to the release.
