Bangor elementary school closed Wednesday due to boiler issue

BANGOR, Maine — Fairmount School in Bangor is closed Wednesday due to a boiler issue.

The building has no heat, according to Bangor School Department communications director Raymond Phinney.

"We will keep you informed about plans moving forward," Phinney said. "We apologize for the inconvenience."

The school serves approximately 250 students in grades four and five, according to its website.
