BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Bangor Police are investigating a stabbing that happened Thursday afternoon on Elizabeth Avenue in Bangor.
Just after 1:00 Thursday afternoon, police say they responded to a stabbing. Witnesses said the stabbing victim went to a home to call emergency personnel. The victim was taken to the hospital, but it appears to be a non-life threatening injury.
"There is no danger to the general public at all, so anyone that has concerns about being in that area, this isn't a random act. Until we get to the bottom of it, we really don't have much else to say except for that people don't need to be too concerned about it," said Sgt. Tim Cotton.
Cotton said two men were arrested on outstanding warrants, not related to the stabbing.
The case remains under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.
