Tractor-trailer rollover leads to three exit closures on I-95 in Bangor

As of 4:30 p.m. Thursday, officials anticipated the right southbound lane will continue to be closed for several hours.

BANGOR, Maine — A tractor-trailer rollover crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Bangor led to the closure of exit ramps 185, 186, and 187 on Thursday.

At approximately 9 a.m., state police responded to a tractor-trailer crash located at Exit 184 southbound in Bangor, according to a news release from Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 34-year-old man from Lawrenceville, Georgia, was headed southbound when he lost control of his vehicle which was carrying French fries, resulting in the rollover crash. Moss said driving too fast for road conditions appears to be a factor in the crash.

The driver was not injured.

As of 4:30 p.m., the right southbound lane is expected to be closed for an additional two hours while crews offload the truck, Moss said.

Officials said drivers in the area should plan their routes accordingly and drive with caution.
