Bangor police arrest 11 in connection with drug-trafficking investigation

Bangor police said they obtained search warrants for three separate campers at a makeshift campsite on Cleveland Avenue, which led to the seizure and arrests.

BANGOR, Maine — Bangor police arrested nearly a dozen people Thursday following a search of a campsite on Cleveland Avenue relating to a drug and firearms investigation. 

Police reportedly received a tip about narcotics sales at the encampment along with allegations that those selling the narcotics were armed, the Bangor Police Department said Friday in a news release.

Police said it was also alleged that firearms were sometimes traded in exchange for narcotics.

An investigation ensued and search warrants were obtained for three separate campers located at the campsite.

The Bangor Police Department's Special Response Team executed the search warrants with assistance from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Homeland Security Investigations and discovered a "large amount" of narcotics.

"Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, and Cocaine were located in an approximately total weight of 391.3 grams," the release stated. "Also seized were the three campers and $4,342, as proceeds from drug trafficking."

The following individuals were arrested in connection with the investigation:

  • Amy Carver, 31, of Rockland: Arrested on four outstanding warrants
  • David Carver, 49, of Rockland: Arrested on eight outstanding warrants
  • Samuel Linscott, 28, of Waltham: Charged with criminal trespass and violation of conditions of release
  • Troy Bryant, 48, of Belfast: Charged with probation violation warrant for drug trafficking
  • Derek Bryan, 52, of Waterville: Arrested on one outstanding warrant and refusing to submit to arrest
  • Ashley Lynn Mercedes Aquino, 26, of Methuen, Massachusetts: Charged with Class A aggravated trafficking and probation violation from Lawrence, Massachusetts
  • Leo Ubri Davinson-Emanuel, 32, of Roslindale, Massachusetts: Charged with Class A aggravated trafficking
  • Joralbert Chala-Diaz, 22, of Boca Canasta, Dominican Republic: Charged with Class A aggravated trafficking
  • Heather Hamm, 40, no known address: Summonsed for refusal to submit to arrest
  • Tara Fogg, 45, formally of Levant: Arrested on one outstanding warrant
  • Tabatha Blodgett, 36, no known address: Arrested on one outstanding warrant

Police said the investigation remains ongoing with the potential of additional individuals being charged.

A portion of Cleveland Street was closed off to traffic during the police response. 

Officials wore armor during a portion of the response due to concerns about weapons in the area.
