Man imprisoned at Mountain View Correctional Facility dies at 73

The 73-year-old Bangor man started serving a 10-year sentence for unlawful sexual contact in 2019. His earliest possible release date was in May 2028.

CHARLESTON, Maine — The Maine Department of Corrections announced Saturday the death of one of its residents.

Keith Bradford, 73, of Bangor, who was serving a sentence at Mountain View Correctional Facility, died at about 3:33 a.m., the department said in a news release.

The department said Bradford's death was attended by medical personnel but did not give details as to how he died.

Bradford began serving a 10-year sentence for unlawful sexual contact in 2019. His earliest possible release date was in May 2028, according to the release.

Consistent with policy, the department said the attorney general's office and state medical examiner were notified of the death.
