AROOSTOOK COUNTY, Maine — Maine State Police responded to a tractor-trailer rollover on Route 11 in T8 R5 on Thursday.
Following the crash, a caller told officials the truck driver was trapped inside the cab and was injured, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said in a Friday news release.
Moss said Troopers and EMS crews from Island Falls, Masardis, and Ashland Fire departments responded to the call.
An initial investigation determined the truck had drifted off the roadway and rolled onto the driver's side. The driver, Timothy Folsom, 74, of Ludlow, was removed from the vehicle and taken to Houlton Regional Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to the release.
Route 11 was closed for approximately one hour, Moss said.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
