NEW SWEDEN, Maine — Maine State Police have released two new photos of Stefanie Damron, a teen from Aroostook County who has now been missing for nearly two months.
The 14-year-old girl was reported missing on Sept. 24. She was last seen walking out of her house and into the woods on West Road in New Sweden on Sept. 23, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said in a news release. She was 13 years old when she went missing.
Police describe her as 5 feet tall and 130 pounds, with green eyes and shoulder-length brown hair. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing blue jeans, a long-sleeved blue shirt, and black Harley Davidson hiking boots.
In a Nov. 21 update, Maine State Police said investigators have conducted many interviews and followed up on leads in Maine, other parts of the U.S., and Canada.
"The Maine Warden Service and Maine State Police K9 Unit have searched large parcels of land near Stefanie’s last known location," state police said in a social media post. "The Major Crimes Unit will continue to investigate the case in partnership with the FBI’s CARD team."
The middle photo below had previously been the only photo police had released of Stefanie. On Nov. 21, police posted the photos on either side, adding those photos "appear to show a younger Stefanie."
The middle photo of Stefanie with the flower in her hair is from summer 2024 and is the most recent, according to police.
Officials say anyone who may have information about Stefanie's whereabouts should call the Maine State Police Houlton Barracks at 1-800-924-2261 or 207-532-5400.
