BREWER, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police in Brewer are searching for the suspect involved in an armed robbery that happened early Tuesday morning.
Police said the robbery happened a little before 5:30 a.m. at the Brewer Motor Inn on Wilson Street.
They are not releasing many details of what actually happened but they say they are looking for a white man wearing a dark colored jacket.They say he got away on foot. No one was hurt.
They said they responded to the call just after 5:30 a.m. on Wilson Street. Ellsworth Police also responded with a K-9.
“You know a few inches of fresh fallen snow would've been nice, but we think, we've gathered some pretty good information so far...Right at this moment we have two shifts with the midnight shift would've been held over so as well as officers from other agencies held over” said Jason Moffitt, the Public Safety Director.
Moffitt said this is not the first time this motel has been robbed.
