CONWAY, N.H. (NECN) -- As the public sees Abigail Hernandez for the first time since her return home, questions still linger about the man accused of kidnapping her and holding her against her will.
Thirty-four-year-old Nathaniel Kibby lived on Brookside Drive in Gorham, New Hampshire, although authorities have not publicly said if Hernandez was held at that home.
Investigators continue to search the home, where some neighbors referred to him as "Crazy Nate." His arrest Monday was not his first - Gorham Police tell NECN they last arrested him in the early 2000's. But in a hair raising revelation, court documents show Kibby was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two weeks after Hernandez's disappearance. Kibby made several court appearances, including one for another charge of simple assault and criminal trespassing in March of this year, all during the nine-month time frame when Hernandez was missing.
Officials from Kibby's former employer, E.M.M. Precision in Conway, said he was a model employee, showing up to work every day - even on the day Hernandez was kidnapped. Company officials said he was only laid off as a result of company restructuring. Authorities said Kibby could soon face additional charges.
