For the past 10 years, the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village has hosted the Maine Festival of American Music: a chance to hear both traditional -- and non-traditional -- takes on Shaker music.
The Portland String Quartet has a huge part in that festival -- and its relationship with the Shaker village dates back more than 40 years. The concerts start Wednesday night.
