Stop slouching at your desk! Yeah, we see you...

Humans were meant to move; sitting for long periods of time is not good for our health.

(NEWS CENTER Maine) -- Many office jobs mean sitting for long periods of time in front of a computer. Dr. Allyson Coffin from Align with Wellness Chiropractic in Yarmouth says that can lead to problems with our spine, and in turn, our nervous system.

Coffin stopped by our office to show us what we're doing wrong, and how do adjust the way we work.

She says your computer monitor should be directly in front of you and high enough that the middle of the screen is in line with your eyes.

If you find yourself slouching over your desk while working, pull everything closer to you.

Get up and move around to get the blood flowing, or do some stretches at your desk; facing forward, move your head from side to side and back to front for some neck movement.
