PORTLAND, Maine — Maine Maple Sunday Weekend is here and this recipe proves maple syrup is not just for pancakes.
Chef Daron Goldstein from Provender Kitchen + Bar in Ellsworth stopped by the 207 kitchen to share his recipe for a Maple apple cider margarita.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz tequila, reposado preferred
- 2 oz apple cider
- 1 oz Cointreau
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz maple syrup
- Maple syrup and large flake sea salt for the rim
Instructions:
- Coat the rim of a glass with maple syrup and sea salt, and place ice in the glass.
- Combine tequila, apple cider, Cointreau, lime juice, and maple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake for 30 seconds or until well combined.
- Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with rosemary.
