FALMOUTH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- YouTube has practically taken over the video world of the internet since it was created in 2005. Available in 61 different languages through it's user interface, there's a YouTube user in just about every country. Here in Maine, Laura Grant is making a big splash on the website.
Since starting her YouTube page in 2009, Laura's 400 videos have gained her around 164,000 followers. A large following that get's even bigger when you consider the fact that her makeup and hair tutorials have been viewed over 18 million times.
"I just did it because I loved makeup and I wanted to share my passion with the world," said Grant.
In addition to her online fans, Laura has also been given several opportunities thanks to YouTube. She's been featured on the pages of Seventeen Magazine five times, each including a photo shoot in New York City.
"I'm so glad that I kind of fell into this because I don't know where I would be right now if it wasn't for YouTube," said Grant.
