CLINTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- When it comes to Dairy Farming in Maine, Flood Brothers Farm is a big player. In the last five years they've ramped up production with a milking parlor that allows them to milk 100 cows at once.

Flood Brothers invested over $1 million to install the rotating milking parlor. Each cow that enters the parlor is collared with an ID tag that allows workers to keep track of every cow and how much milk she is producing.

"If everything goes right and everything works right, it's the fastest parlor to milk cows in," said part owner of the farm, Dana Flood.

The farm first started shipping milk in 1927 under George Flood who was just 14 at the time. Years later the farm has grown from just a few cows to around 3,500 head overall. The family farm is milking 1,600 cows, three times a day, producing around 5% of Maine's Milk.
