PORTLAND, Maine — When the first few flashes of love, the blushing and the giggling, is often discussed it is given to the youth, to the young hiding in bars & groping in cars. But cupids arrow strikes with no regard to age or circumstance. The play in production at The Public Theatre in Lewiston, Fire Flies, takes a deep dive into the golden years and finding love at a wiser, more experienced time in life. Perhaps towards the end of a career, all that life having been lived, now to share the golden moments. A new flash, a new flush, an awakening, excitement, it isn't only the domain of youth, it belongs to everyone.
