Looking for a dessert made with smoked eel? 'Down East' has a suggestion.

Magazine Editor-in-Chief Will Grunewald, joined 207 to chat about the unconventional dish and more.

PORTLAND, Maine — In its February issue, “Down East” magazine profiles Colby Adolphsen of Waldoboro, who is so gifted at making elaborate and realistic Lego creations that he’s now getting commissions from patrons who want to own one of his works.

Another article looks at Rococo Dessert Bar in Kennebunk, where you can order a brownie sundae that goes beyond anything you’ve ever imagined in your most decadent ice cream fantasies. Instead of chocolate sprinkles, the sundae is topped with “smoked Gulf of Maine eel crumbles” which the chef “dehydrates and crisps up like bacon.”

Are you Intrigued? We certainly were, and that’s why we were happy when “Down East” Editor-in-Chief Will Grunewald joined us to talk about those stories and more.
