PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- When he was just 27-years-old, and with a pregnant wife, Eric Michaud opened Novare Res; offering beers from all over the world and urging people to expand their palates.
It was a wild concept in this Maine market, but it worked, which led Michaud to open a restaurant/brewery/distillery trio along Commercial Street. Through Liquid Riot, he continues to push the boundaries of flavor, and it's winning him quite a few accolades.
Most recently, Liquid Riot's Blushing Star took in a gold medal; made with Maine-grown peaches.
We chatted with Michaud about what led him into the life of spirits and brews.
