PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- We all have our favorite places to grab a bite to eat, or drink with friends. A couple from Indiana happen to have Vena's Fizz House in Portland at the top of their list and showed just how much love they have for the bar this year.
Aaron and Lori Harlett have been visiting Vena's Fizz House since it opened five years ago when they first got engaged. When the owner, Steve Corman, found out last year that the couple had a long engagement, he recommended his business as a wedding venue.
"We could either do it in a snow bank in a field in January, or we could do it in the bar some time in the spring," said Corman.
Lori wasn't with Aaron when the offer was made, but one text later and the couples wedding venue was set. With their closest friends and family gathered at Vena's Fizz House in April, all that was left to do was wait for the bride. Aaron and Lori were wed at their favorite bar, surrounded by their favorite people and in front of their favorite bar tender.
"Absolutely the best and right thing to do and I love him and I'm so happy to be his wife," said Lori.
