Yoga at Bug Light

Enjoy yoga in the grass as the boats pass by in Portland Harbor during this yoga class at Bug Light Park. Instructor Kelly Rich will lead classes her 4 times a week all spring and summer.

Circus 101 – Aerial Silks + Trapeze

Learn some basics on the trapeze and aerial silks with this beginner class at The Sellam Circus School! You'll get to experiment with some introductory movements on these apparatus and have a fun time in the process learning from circus pros.

Safe Passage Maine 5K & Fiesta
3 p.m. Sunday, May 5. Greely High School, Cumberland. $20 adults, $8 students, $45 families. www.safepassage.org
Run or walk this annual 5K, which starts and ends at Greely High School in Cumberland. Afterward, enjoy a fiesta inside, with live music by Primo Cubano, a nacho bar, games, prizes, and more. Benefits Safe Passage.

Color Bangor 
9 a.m. Saturday, May 11. Bangor Waterfront, Bangor. $50 adults, $25 kids. americanfolkfestival.com
Get colorful with this 5K in Bangor, which you can walk or run with friends. There will be a warm-up with live DJ to start and an after party. In between you'll be showered with colors on the course. Or choose to so the shorter "Color Shortcut path" if you don't want to do the whole 5K. Fundraiser for The American Folk Festival.

Portland Sea Dogs Mother's Day 5K
9:15 a.m. Sunday, May 12. Hadlock Field, Portland. $25. seadogs.com
Slugger and his mom lead the way on the flat 5K course, which begins in front of the Portland Expo building and ends inside Hadlock Field in front of the third base dugout. Proceeds go to American Cancer Society.
