The 207 Interview: Republican congressional candidate Mike Soboleski

Running in the second district, he hopes to win the GOP nomination and take on Democratic incumbent Jared Golden.

PORTLAND, Maine — On June 11, a primary will decide who the Republican nominee will be in the race for the United States House seat in Maine’s second district. The two primary candidates are Mike Soboleski and Austin Theriault. Here’s a quick look at Soboleski.

Residence: Phillips.

Political experience: Elected to the Maine House of Representatives in 2022.

Work experience: Served in the Marine Corps. Started a business that sold and serviced fitness equipment. Sales manager for a car dealership. Movie and TV extra and stuntman. Ran field operations in Maine for the 2020 United States Census.

Organizations: American Legion, Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine, National Rifle Association.
