PORTLAND, Maine — The Impractical Jokers have made television audiences laugh for more than a decade. Later this month, they are bringing their live show to the Maine Savings Amphitheatre.
Joe Gatto, James "Murr" Murray, Brian "Q" Quinn, and Sal Vulcano met in high school at an all boys Catholic school. Murr said the teens instantly became friends and were known for their pranks and humor.
All these years later, the men are still making people laugh. Season 11 of the show "Impractical Jokers," just started airing on TBS.
Here's how it works: each episode features different challenges where the Jokers compete to embarrass each other in public places. There are hidden cameras in place to capture the chaos and whichever Joker falls short of making people laugh is punished, usually by being humiliated.
On July 27, the gang will perform their comedy show live in Bangor.
"Our first love is performing live, it's how we started," Murr said. "I think it's the best part of our job."
Tickets are still available. Watch our interview with Murr to learn more about what to expect.
