18-year-old walks into Caribou Police station with stab wounds, police say

CARIBOU, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police say two men are charged after a third walked to the Caribou Police Department saying he had been stabbed multiple times.

Caribou Fire and Ambulance transported the 18-year-old victim Friday to Cary Medical center where he was treated and released, according to police.

They say the victim said two people came to his home on Washington Street, where he met them outside. An altercation then took place.

21-year-old Andrew Torres of Caribou is charged with aggravated assault, criminal threatening and violation of conditional release. His bail is set at $50,000 or $50,000 double surety.

19-year-old Craig Vrieze of Presque Isle is charged with aggravated assault. His bail is set at $1,000 cash or $5,000 surety.

Both are in Aroostook County Jail.
