DENMARK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- 15 years after Angel Torres disappeared, his family in the western Maine town of Denmark is still waiting for answers.
It was May 21st, 1999, when Angel Tony Torres was last seen. The 21-year-old college student was making his way back to visit his parents, but he never made it.
His parents have to come to accept that their son is likely no longer alive. But they want some answers. Was it drug related? Did their son get mixed up with the wrong crowd? Or was he just in the wrong place at the wrong time?
Torres was a bright 21-year-old college student. 15 years ago he got on a bus in Boston and got off in Biddeford. He was last seen there around 2 a.m.
"We stay strong, we move forward. We move forward with hope that someday we'll find out something and we can put an end to this," his father Narciso Torres said.
The Torres family said investigators have identified people who may have information. They are pleading with those people to come forward.
"Help us get the answers we need because all we want is to find out where Tony is so we can bring him home," Angel's mother, Ramona, said.
If you have any information about the disappearance of Angel Torres, you are asked to contact the Maine State Police.
