South Portland High School going remote, delaying start of winter sports due to COVID-19 cases

Students will be remote starting Jan. 25 until Jan. 29.

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — Students at South Portland High School will be remote learning next week and the start of winter sports practices will be delayed because of the number of teachers and students out due to COVID-19.

In an email to the SPHS community Friday, principal Michele LaForge said all South Portland students will start online learning on Jan. 25 until Jan. 29.

Sports will start when in-person intrusion resumes on Feb. 1

PSATs are also canceled.
