Westbrook police release surveillance pics hoping it will help identify robbery suspect

Police are asking anyone who may recognize the person in the photo to contact them.

WESTBROOK, Maine — Westbrook police are seeking help from the public in identifying a person who they believe may have been involved in an incident downtown last Sunday. 

Police responded to a call around 6 p.m. Jan. 21 about a possible armed robbery in the area of Main Street and Bridge Street, Westbrook police said Friday in a Facebook post. 

Law enforcement have since reviewed surveillance footage in the area and have shared what they believe to be images of a possible suspect, who can be seen riding a small bicycle in front of the MaineHealth administrative services at One Riverfront Plaza. 

The footage was obtained in the area of Brown Street and Dana Court, the post said. 

Police ask that anyone who may recognize the person in the images or with information about the incident to contact Detective Evan Haskell at 207-854-0644 ext. 2411.
