WATERBORO, Maine — State and federal officials are trying to identify a suspect in a bank robbery in York County on Wednesday.
It happened shortly before 2 p.m. at the Gorham Savings Bank at 11 Sokokis Trail in Waterboro, York County Sheriff William King said in a press release.
A man entered the bank while showing a gun. He was given money and then left, according to the sheriff.
Several bank employees and one customer were in the bank at the time of the robbery. Nobody was injured, King said.
"The investigation is continuing, and the FBI has been summoned for assistance," the release stated.
King said no further information would be provided at this time.
