PORTLAND, Maine — Portland police responded to reports of shots being fired on Forest Avenue early Tuesday morning and found a teen suffering from a gunshot wound.
The incident occurred just before 2:30 a.m. at 1390 Forest Avenue, where police found a 17-year-old who had been shot, according to a release from the Portland Police Department.
Police said the teen was transported to Maine Medical Center with "life-threatening injuries," and was in stable condition as of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
