LEWISTON, Maine — A teenager has been charged in connection with a shooting in Lewiston Saturday afternoon.
At about 4:40 p.m., Lewiston police responded to several reports of shots fired in the area of 101 Pierce Street, the Lewiston Police Department said in a Facebook post.
At the scene, police said they met several witnesses and discovered multiple spent shell casings in the area.
When reviewing surveillance footage in the area, police identified the suspect as a 14-year-old boy, according to the post.
Police said the suspect was located and charged with Class C aggravated reckless conduct and was taken to the Long Creek Youth Development Center where he remains.
No injuries were reported in the shooting.
