ST ALBANS, Maine — A man was found dead after law enforcement officials responded to a report Wednesday afternoon of two men fighting and rescue needed at a home on Harland Road in St. Albans, according to officials.
The Somerset County Communications Center received a report shortly before 3 p.m. about the incident, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said Thursday in a news release.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including Pittsfield police, Maine Game Wardens, and members of the Somerset County Sheriff's Office, and upon arrival discovered that one of the men was dead, according to the release.
The death is under investigation by the Maine State Police, and the body was brought to the medical examiner's office to determine cause and manner of death.
Officials said there is no threat to the public.
