PORTLAND, Maine — Police are investigating a shooting incident that happened Tuesday night on Taft Avenue in Portland.
Shortly before 7:15 p.m., police responded to a report of an alleged shooting outside in the area of 77 Taft Avenue, the Portland Police Department said in a news release.
"Witnesses saw a black Lexus pull up alongside a small sedan that was pulled over on the road and fire shots at the occupant, who fired back at the Lexus," the release stated.
Police said the Lexus then reportedly sped off, turning onto Godfrey Street before heading down Josslyn Street.
Police ask in the release that anyone who may have surveillance cameras in the area check them for footage related to this incident.
