Scarborough police arrest 2 people on outstanding warrants, suspected methamphetamine

SCARBOROUGH, Maine — Scarborough police arrested two people on outstanding warrants Tuesday night.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., members of the Scarborough Police Department were assisted by the Southern Maine Regional Special Weapons and Tactics Team, Cumberland County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services Unit, Southern Maine Special Response Team, and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration in executing a search warrant at 10 Burnham Road, according to a Wednesday release from the Scarborough Police Department.

Following a search warrant, 44-year-old Paul Dibiase of Peaks Island and 40-year-old Jacklen Leeman of Freeport were arrested on outstanding arrest warrants, the release stated. In addition, officers seized a firearm and suspected methamphetamine from the residence.

Burnham Road was closed between Tapley Road and Theresa Masse Lane from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Police say additional charges are likely forthcoming as this is an ongoing investigation.
