Lincoln County woman charged in Rockland hit-and-run

One driver was taken to Pen Bay Medical Center with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police.

ROCKLAND, Maine — A woman from Lincoln County is facing charges after she allegedly tried to flee the scene of a crash in Rockland on Wednesday.

Rockland police said they responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 1 around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

One driver was taken to Pen Bay Medical Center with injuries not considered life-threatening. The other driver, later identified as Ashley Deahl, gave officers a wrong name and birth date and then ran off, according to police.

Deahl was out on five sets of bail conditions and had four active warrants for her arrest out of Lincoln County, police said.

Officers found evidence of drug use in the vehicle Deahl was driving, and a passenger in the vehicle was found to be in violation of probation, police said. That individual was turned over to their probation officer and subsequently released, according to police.
