DIXFIELD, Maine — A man from Wilton is accused of sending sexually explicit photographs to a teenager.
Robert L. Fanning, 39, was arrested June 14 and charged with indecent conduct and harassment by telephone or electronic device, the Oxford County Sheriff's Office said in a release Wednesday.
On May 10, a 17-year-old reported receiving explicit images from Fanning, who is a former teacher in the area, according to the sheriff's office.
Electronic evidence was recovered by investigators, the sheriff's office said, leading to Fanning's arrest.
Fanning was taken to the Oxford County Jail with his bail set at $250, which the sheriff's office said is the maximum amount for a misdemeanor. Fanning has since made bail and been released from the facility, the release stated.
Fanning's bail conditions prohibit him from having contact with anyone under the age of 18. He is also prohibited from using a device that connects to the internet, according to the sheriff's office.
He's scheduled to be arraigned at the South Paris District Court on Aug. 15, officials said.
