PORTLAND, Maine — Portland police are investigating an assault after a person was discovered injured and on the ground at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The 53-year-old victim was found on the ground at the Western Promenade, police said in a press release. The victim appeared to have severe injuries from a potential assault.
The victim was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.
