PORTLAND, Maine — Portland police found a man seriously injured on St. John Street early Saturday morning, who later died that day at the hospital.
On March 2, around 1 a.m. Portland police were called to the area of 263 St. John Street after someone reported a disturbance with an injured person, according to a Saturday press release from the Portland Police Department.
Officers found a 30-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. Police did not specify what type of injuries he had, in the release.
The victim was transported to Maine Medical Center where he later died.
An autopsy will be performed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, to determine the cause and manner of death, according to the release.
Police do not believe there is any threat to the public.
