Police respond to threats made against Jewish temples in Maine

South Portland police said a bomb threat sent to an email address for Congregation Bet Ha'am was cleared.

MAINE, USA — Police said Sunday they responded to threats made against several Jewish temples in Maine. 

According to South Portland police, a bomb threat was sent to an email address for Congregation Bet Ha'am located on Westbrook Street in South Portland. 

Police said officers investigated the building and deemed the threat "all clear."

Similar threats were made against temples in Bath and Augusta, police said.
