Police investigate robbery at Lisbon Falls market

A male subject fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

LISBON, Maine — Police are investigating after a robbery at a market in Lisbon Falls Tuesday night. 

At approximately 6:30 p.m., Lisbon police were called to the Rusty Lantern Market located at 689 Lisbon St. for a reported robbery, according to a news release from the Lisbon Police Department. 

According to police, the store clerk said a male subject demanded money and fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money. The subject did not reportedly display a weapon and no one was injured in the incident. 

The suspect is described as a five-foot-eight white male with a thin build, and was wearing a camouflage jacket, dark-colored pants, and a cloth over his face. He reportedly left the scene with a light-colored bicycle with a "distinctive brown seat."

Those with video cameras in the Lisbon Falls area are being asked to check their cameras. Those with information related to the incident are asked to call Detective Christopher Sibley at 207-353-2500 ext. 1.

The Androscoggin Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to assist, police said.
