Police identify person who died in Waterville shooting incident

Waterville police responded to a reported shooting outside of a home on South Grove Street Monday morning.

Police have identified an individual who died as a result of a shooting in Waterville on Monday. 

According to a news release from Maine Department of Public Safety Shannon Moss, 22-year-old Justin Iraola of Winslow was identified as the deceased following an autopsy performed at the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta on Tuesday. 

On Monday at approximately 8:10 a.m., Waterville police responded to a reported shooting outside of a home located at 18 South Grove Street, Moss said. Winslow was pronounced dead as a result of the shooting, the cause of death being multiple gunshot wounds. Moss said his manner of death is not being released at this time.

There is no danger to the public at this time and additional information is expected to be released when it's appropriate to do so, according to Moss.
