MANCHESTER, N.H. — New Hampshire officials are now investigating a suspicious death near a Manchester high school as a homicide, and the victim has been identified.
According to a news release from the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office, 46-year-old Te-Jay Thomas has been identified as the deceased after an autopsy was performed on Friday.
The autopsy reportedly revealed Thomas died of blunt-force trauma to the head and neck, and his death was ruled a homicide.
"Based upon the investigation conducted to date, investigators believe that all relevant parties have been identified, and that there is no threat to the general public," according to the news release.
On Thursday, the Manchester Police Department and members of the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office were investigating a "suspicious death" on Lowell Street near Central High School in Manchester.
The school reportedly issued a shelter-in-place during the investigation on Thursday. Officials noted the incident did not involve students or firearms.
The investigation remains ongoing.
