State police arrest two Knox residents for alleged drug trafficking

KNOX, Maine — Two people were arrested Friday for alleged drug trafficking in Knox.

The Maine State Police Central Field Troop executed a drug search warrant at the Flatt Road residence where 31-year-old Caleb Woodward and 34-year-old Ryann Kenny lived, according to a Tuesday release from the Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.

Authorities searched the residence following Woodward's arrest after a traffic stop on the morning of June 14. Drugs were reportedly seized during the traffic stop, giving probable cause for police to investigate the home, according to the release.

In addition to 30 grams of fentanyl, police reportedly found crystal methamphetamines, crack cocaine, and 10 different "unprescribed pills," including suboxone, oxycodone, and Xanax. Police also seized two firearms at the residence, where three minor children reside, Moss said.

Moss said the Department of Health and Human Services was notified following the investigation.

Woodward and Kenny were transported to Knox County Jail.

Caleb Woodward was charged with the following offenses:

  • Aggravated Trafficking of Schedule W Drugs Fentanyl
  • Furnishing Schedule W Drugs, Methamphetamines
  • Unlawful Possession of Schedule W Drugs Cocaine Base
  • Unlawful Possession of Schedule W Drugs Suboxone
  • Unlawful Possession of Schedule W Drugs Oxycodone
  • Unlawful Possession of Schedule Z Drugs
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person

Ryann Kenny was charged with the following offenses:

  • Aggravated Trafficking of Schedule W Drugs Fentanyl
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited
