KILLINGLY, Conn. — Mountain Robicheau, 41, of Wesley is facing numerous charges after police say he accidentally shot himself in the thigh while showing off his gun while he was visiting his sister in Killingly, Conn.
Police responded to the hospital for a report of a person with a gunshot wound to his left thigh. Robicheau told police he was at his sister's Killingly home and showing her the handgun when his finger slipped. He was arrested on Tuesday, the day after the incident.
Robicheau is free on a $50,000 bond, according to court records.
Robicheau is facing charges including three counts of carrying a pistol without a permit, as well as charges for possession of a controlled substance, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, illegal discharge of a firearm, and first-degree reckless endangerment.
He is scheduled to appear in court on March 3 in Conn.
